Built by a dentist · EOB and ERA automation for Open Dental

Automated insurance posting softwarefor dental practices on Open Dental.

EOB and ERA automation that takes insurance posting off the front desk, so your team can focus on patients and insurance follow-up.

No cloud. Posted runs on your own server, so patient data never leaves the building.

You stay in control

Nothing postsuntil you say so.

Every payment Posted prepares waits for one click from you. Approve it and it is written to Open Dental. Send it back and nothing happens.

Sample data, not a patient.

What Posted does

Three front-desk jobs, automated.

The insurance posting your team does in stolen minutes between patients. Posted does it the moment an EOB or ERA lands in the folder.

Reads every EOB

Portal PDFs, mailed paper, electronic 835s. Whatever the carrier sent and however they formatted it, every line is read.

Matches it to the right patient

Each payment is matched to the patient and claim in Open Dental, and Posted shows you why, so nothing lands on the wrong account.

Splits the write-off correctly

What the practice absorbs and what the patient still owes are separated properly, so ledgers stay clean and patients get billed the right amount.

Built in a working practice

Built by a dentistto solve a real problem.

Dr. Robert Geis built Posted at Geis Dentistry in Colorado because the EOB pile was his problem before it was a product. It runs there now, on his own server, against his own patients’ insurance payments.

Yours would be the first practice outside his, which is a real thing to weigh. It also means your email goes to the dentist who built it, not to a support queue. As practices come on board we will name them here, with their permission.

How the automation works

Three steps, two of them yours.

  1. Drop in the day’s EOBs

Save them to a folder, the same 835 files, portal PDFs and scans you already handle. That is the only change to your day.

  2. Posted does the reading

On your own server, beside Open Dental. Every EOB is read, matched to its patient and claim, and the write-off worked out.

  3. You approve

One screen, one click per payment. Approved payments are written to Open Dental exactly as if you had keyed them.

$199/month

  • Unlimited claims
  • No percentage
  • No contract

One flat price,on the page.

Your best month costs the same as your slowest. The first 30 days are free, on your own EOBs, so you can see the queue before you pay for it.

Questions

The ones we get asked

What is EOB and ERA automation, and what does Posted actually do?

EOB and ERA automation means the insurance payment paperwork, the paper and PDF explanations of benefits and the electronic ERA files, is read and prepared by software instead of by hand. Posted reads each one, matches it to the right patient and claim in Open Dental, works out what the practice writes off versus what the patient still owes, and leaves every payment waiting for one click from someone at your practice.

Is this HIPAA compliant? Where does patient data go?

Posted runs inside your network, on the machine that already holds your patient data. Nothing is sent to us and we have no access to your database, so there is no copy of your patients' information anywhere but your own building. If your policy needs a business associate agreement, write to us and we will work through it with you.

We already use a billing service. Does this replace them?

No. Your biller spends part of every day keying payments; Posted has that part done and waiting. They get those hours back for the work you actually pay them for: chasing what the carrier did not pay.

What if we approve something and it turns out to be wrong?

It is an ordinary Open Dental payment, entered the way your team would have entered it. You correct or reverse it as you would any other posting, without us.

How often does it get it right?

We do not publish a percentage, because a number on a website is not something you can check. What you can check: anything Posted is not sure of goes to the waiting row instead of your ledger, and every match shows its reason before you click. Ask to see both on the demo.

You have no other practices yet. Why would we go first?

Everything Posted prepares is written into your own Open Dental database, not ours, so it stays there whether we do or not, and you can stop in one email with nothing to unwind. The first 30 days are free, so the most this can cost you is one month.

How long does setup take?

One session on your server with us. From then on you save EOBs into a folder and approve what Posted prepares. Nothing about how your team works today has to change first.

What does it cost?

$199 a month per location, unlimited claims. No percentage of collections, no per-claim fee, no setup fee, no contract. The first 30 days are free.
